ABOUT ME

With over 30 years of experience in Localization, Transcreation, and LQA, I have built a career around helping businesses speak naturally to Brazilian audiences. I also lead translation and review teams, backed by a background in Journalism, Marketing, and Linguistics.

I was 14 when I started practising translation. My dad handed me one of his trade magazines and asked me to translate a short article about pavement tests for large commercial aircraft. The scope and subject have changed a fair bit since then, but I haven’t stopped. It’s been over 30 years.

Today I work with global companies, leading translation and review teams and handling localization, transcreation, and LQA for the Brazilian market. I draw on a background in Journalism, Marketing, and Linguistics, which helps me approach language problems from more than one angle.

Independent Professional

Localization, Transcreation, and Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist

My work spans translation, transcreation, and editing for marketing, eCommerce, entertainment, and IT clients. I lead linguistic training and calibration for translation and review teams, and build and maintain style guides, glossaries, and translation memories. On the quality side, I produce analyses and client-facing reports, identify and resolve workflow and terminology issues across localization projects, and communicate directly with clients and stakeholders. LQA, MT post-editing, and AI-content editing for accuracy, fluency, and market fit are also a regular part of my work, as is end-to-end subtitling in English and Brazilian Portuguese, from initial creation through QC and final delivery.
